Frequently Asked Questions about Hospitality Racking

How long do the wine racks take to assemble and can anyone do this?
Most of our standard racking can be assembled in 15-20 minutes per rack. Custom racking may take significantly longer as it often includes special trim and other features. Our standard racking can be assembled by any handy do-it-yourselfer. We recommend a qualified contractor for assembly and installation of custom racking. We have qualified installers all over the country to assist you.

How long will my order take to be manufactured?
If you have selected racking from our “stock” lines of racking, we may have them in stock and available to ship within 3-5 days. If your racking is Custom, we will send it to our Custom Department and generally ship to you in about 4 weeks from the time you approve your order. This time can vary depending on the size, scope and finishes of your order. If you have a more immediate need, please call us to discuss how we may be able to accommodate you.

What types of wood are used for racking?
We primarily manufacture in mahogany, a wood that is well known for its hardness, durability, moisture tolerance and pest resistance. We also stock Oak, Pine and Lyptus™. If you have a project where you need to match other wood in your establishment, we can special order just about any species.

Do you provide stain and finishing?
Our wine racks constructed of hard woods do not require a finish to last a lifetime however, we do have the ability to stain or finish your wine racking to match existing trim or change the color to suit your tastes.

What are the payment terms for my order?
When you have approved a final design for your racking we will require at minimum a 50% deposit on your order. If your order includes any environmental control or preservation systems, those items must be paid in full when you place the order. We then require the balance of your order 72 hours prior to shipment. If you need some other sort of payment schedule, please let us know and we will see what we can do to accommodate you.

What kind of Warranty do you offer?
Standard Warranty - Our custom wine cellars are guaranteed against defect in materials and workmanship for five (5) years from the initial date of shipment. Any mechanical components included (hinges, casters) will have a one(1) year warranty. If the product is defective due to workmanship or materials, WineRacks.com will, at its option, repair or replace the product free of charge.
This warranty sets forth Wineracks.com's maximum liability for its products and is in lieu of all other warranties, including a warranty of merchantability, expressed or implied. This warranty does not cover products that are not WineRacks.com racking, Acts of God, and products subjected to conditions outside their design limitations.

Optional Lifetime Warranty - Wineracks.com warrants its wine racking to be free from defects due to workmanship or material under normal use and service, for the lifetime that the owner remains in the residence. To qualify for this optional warranty the product must be installed by a certified factory installer. If the product is defective due to workmanship or materials, Wineracks.com will, at its option, repair or replace the product free of charge. Any mechanical components utilized in the wine cellar, such as hinges or magnetic catches will have a one (1) year warranty.
